Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Gyoza

Take a gyoza wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal. Create pleats along the edge for a decorative finish. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Cook the Gyoza

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Place the gyoza in the skillet, flat side down, and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Allow the gyoza to steam for about 5-7 minutes or until the water has evaporated.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the gyoza from the skillet and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
