Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patty tender.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties that are slightly larger than the buns, as they will shrink while cooking.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat until hot. If using a skillet, you can add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned, then flip the patties.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, layer the lettuce, tomato (sliced), red onion (sliced), and pickles. Place the cooked burger patty on top, then add ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise to taste.

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Cap the burger with the top half of the toasted bun. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
