Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Crust Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine 1.5 cups of graham cracker crumbs, 0.5 cups of granulated sugar, 0.5 cups of melted unsalted butter, and 0.25 tsp of salt. Mix until well combined and resembles wet sand.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan evenly and firmly. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Filling Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, beat 4 cups of cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar and mix until well combined.

  2. 5

    Add Remaining Ingredients

Add 1 cup of sour cream, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 0.25 cups of all-purpose flour to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until fully incorporated.

  3. 6

    Incorporate the Eggs

Add 4 large eggs one at a time, beating on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 7

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Baking and Cooling

  1. 8

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly.

  2. 9

    Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour with the door ajar. Remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature before refrigerating.

  3. 10

    Chill

Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving to ensure it sets properly.
