Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess moisture. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Croutons and Parmesan
Add the croutons to the bowl of chopped romaine lettuce. Sprinkle the shaved parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the salad. Toss gently to combine.
Dressing Preparation
- 3
Make the Caesar Dressing
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- 4
Season the Dressing
Taste the dressing and season with salt and black pepper to your liking. Whisk again to incorporate the seasonings.
Assembly
- 5
Combine Salad and Dressing
Pour the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad in the bowl. Toss the salad gently until all the ingredients are coated with the dressing.
- 6
Serve
Serve the Caesar salad immediately in individual bowls or plates. Optionally, garnish with additional shaved parmesan and croutons on top.
