Preparation of Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Pat the country style ribs dry with paper towels. This will help the rub adhere better.

  2. 2

    Apply BBQ Rub

Generously apply the BBQ rub all over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them rest for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 3

    Preheat the Smoker

Preheat your smoker to a temperature of 225°F (107°C). Use your favorite wood chips for smoking, such as hickory or applewood.

  2. 4

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker. Smoke the ribs for about 5 to 6 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C) and are tender.

Making BBQ Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving the Meal

  1. 7

    Prepare Sides

While the ribs are smoking, prepare the coleslaw and cornbread according to your preferred recipes.

  2. 8

    Serve the Ribs

Once the ribs are done, remove them from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes. Slice the ribs and serve with BBQ sauce, coleslaw, cornbread, and pickles on the side.
