Meatballs and Sauce
Method
Preparation and Assembly
- 1
Make the Meatballs
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Italian breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and form into 1-inch meatballs.
- 2
Cook the Meatballs
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- 3
Add Marinara Sauce
Pour marinara sauce over the cooked meatballs in the skillet. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 4
Assemble the Subs
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice sub rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Spoon meatballs and sauce into the rolls, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot.
