Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickles

Drain the pickle spears and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, whisk the eggs in the second bowl, and mix the panko breadcrumbs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Pickles

Take each pickle spear and coat it in flour, shaking off excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then roll it in the panko mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Use enough oil to fully submerge the pickle spears.

  5. 5

    Fry the Pickles

Carefully add the breaded pickle spears to the hot oil in batches, being cautious not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried pickle spears with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
