Chicken Parmesan Sub Ingredients
Method
Chicken Parmesan Sub Directions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- 2
Coat the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dip each chicken breast first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking sheet.
- 4
Add Marinara and Cheese
Spoon marinara sauce over each piece of chicken and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Assemble the Sub
Slice the submarine rolls in half and place a piece of chicken in each roll. Add extra marinara sauce if desired, and serve hot.
