California Burger Preparation
- 1
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place them on paper towels to drain excess grease.
- 2
Prepare the Burger Patties
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal patties.
- 3
Cook the Burger Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- 4
Prepare the Avocado
While the burgers are cooking, slice the avocado into thin pieces.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Layer lettuce, a burger patty with melted cheddar, crispy bacon, sliced avocado, tomato slices, and an onion ring. Top with the other half of the bun.
- 6
Serve
Serve the California burgers immediately with your favorite side dishes.
