Shrimp and Sauce

Garlic Bread

Method

Preparing the Garlic Bread

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette or Italian bread in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Mix Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  3. 3

    Spread and Bake

Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Cooking the Shrimp Scampi

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet, melt the 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Cook Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  3. 6

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.

  4. 7

    Add Cream and Seasoning

Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  5. 8

    Finish with Parsley

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Serve the shrimp scampi over the garlic bread. Spoon the sauce generously over the shrimp and enjoy!
