Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 200 grams of your choice of pasta (Spaghetti, Mosticiolli, or Shell Pasta) and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sugo Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Sugo

In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in 400 grams of crushed tomatoes, 1 cup of chopped fresh basil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Toppings Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare Toppings

Meanwhile, choose your desired topping: either cook 1 meatball or 1 Italian sausage in a separate pan until fully cooked, or heat 100 grams of meat sauce. For mushrooms, sauté 100 grams of sliced mushrooms in a little oil until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Pasta Bowl

In a large bowl, place the cooked pasta and pour the sugo over it. Top with your choice of the prepared toppings: either the meatball, Italian sausage, meat sauce, or sautéed mushrooms. Serve hot.
