Main Ingredients

Honey BBQ Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Skewers

Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.

  2. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

Dice the bell pepper and red onion into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Shrimp

If using frozen shrimp, thaw them under cold running water, then peel and devein if necessary.

Honey BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the honey, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.

Assembly and Grilling

  1. 5

    Assemble the Kabobs

Thread the shrimp, pineapple chunks, bell pepper, and red onion onto the soaked skewers, alternating ingredients for a colorful presentation.

  2. 6

    Coat with Sauce

Brush the assembled kabobs generously with the honey BBQ sauce, making sure to coat all sides.

  3. 7

    Grill the Kabobs

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the kabobs on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through, brushing with additional sauce as desired.
