Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 12-inch round cake pans.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

  6. 6

    Pour Batter into Pans

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool Cakes

Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Frosting and Decoration

  1. 9

    Prepare Frosting

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and heavy cream, continuing to beat until well combined.

  2. 10

    Frost the Cakes

Once the cakes have completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of frosting on top, then place the second layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake.

  3. 11

    Decorate

Sprinkle the top and sides of the cake with sprinkles and optionally add fresh fruits for extra decoration.
