Chicken Wings

Hot Sauce Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Wings

In a large bowl, combine hot sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the marinated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and let them drain on paper towels.

  3. 5

    Toss in Sauce

In a large bowl, combine the fried wings with any remaining marinade. Toss well to coat.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Wings

Plate the hot chicken wings with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
