Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

Grill the chicken breast over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Once cooked, remove it from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease. Crumble the bacon into pieces.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Avocado and Apple

Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Cut the avocado into slices. For the apple, core and chop it into bite-sized pieces.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Tomato and Egg

Chop the tomato into wedges. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of boiling water for 10-12 minutes. Once done, cool them under cold water, peel, and slice them.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Salad

In the salad bowl, layer the romaine lettuce with the sliced grilled chicken, crumbled bacon, avocado slices, apple pieces, blue cheese crumbles, tomato wedges, and sliced hard-boiled eggs.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 7

    Make the Dressing

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, dried tarragon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

  2. 8

    Serve

Drizzle the tarragon ranch dressing over the assembled salad just before serving. Toss gently to combine if desired.
