Cookies and Brownies

Method

Preparation Instructions

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal later.

2

Make the Brownie Batter

In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter. Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

3

Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

4

Mix the Batter

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.

5

Bake the Brownies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6

Cool and Cut

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares.

7

Make the Cookies

In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

8

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

9

Scoop and Bake Cookies

Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the same oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.

10

Cool Cookies

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
