Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub the spice mixture all over the spare ribs.

  2. 2

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  3. 3

    Add Barbecue Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, uncover, and brush generously with barbecue sauce. Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 4

    Cook the Corn

While the ribs are baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the corn on the cob and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into small pieces. Boil them in a separate pot of water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter and chopped parsley.
