Prepare the Burger Patties
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two equal-sized patties.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

Cook the Burger Patties
In the same skillet, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach desired doneness.

Add Cheese and Barbecue Sauce
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt. Brush barbecue sauce on top.

Assemble the Burger
Place the cooked burger patties on the bottom half of the buns. Top with crispy bacon, pickles, and an onion ring. Add the top bun.

Serve
Serve immediately with extra barbecue sauce on the side if desired.
