Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of each rack of ribs. Use a paper towel for better grip and pull it off gently.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar. Rub this seasoning mix all over the ribs, ensuring an even coat.

  3. 3

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a separate bowl, pour in the BBQ sauce and set aside. This will be used for marinating later.

Marinating

  1. 4

    Bag the Ribs

Take one rack of seasoned ribs and place it in a Ziplock freezer bag. Repeat this step for each rack of ribs, ensuring that each rack goes into its own bag.

  2. 5

    Add BBQ Sauce

Pour an equal amount of BBQ sauce into each bag with the ribs. Seal the bags tightly, ensuring to remove as much air as possible for better preservation.

  3. 6

    Label and Freeze

Label each Ziplock freezer bag with the date and contents. Place the bags flat in the freezer for easier storage and thawing later.
