Pulled Pork Preparation

Season and Cook
In a slow cooker, season the pork shoulder with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour in the water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds.

Shred and Mix
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker. Shred the pork using two forks. Mix in the BBQ sauce until fully coated.

Prepare the Vegetables
Thinly slice the green cabbage, grate the carrots, and finely chop the red onion.

Make the Slaw Dressing
In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

Sandwich Assembly

Toast the Bread
Lightly toast the slices of utani bread until golden brown.

Assemble the Sandwich
On one slice of toasted utani bread, pile a generous amount of pulled pork. Top with a scoop of Vegas slaw and sprinkle BBQ chips on top. Place another slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich.

Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately, with extra BBQ chips on the side.
