Method
For the McRib Sandwich
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Season the boneless spare ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Ensure the ribs are evenly coated.
- 2
Smoke the Ribs
Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker and smoke for about 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 190°F (88°C) for optimal tenderness.
- 3
Glaze with Barbecue Sauce
In the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce and continue to cook until the sauce has caramelized.
- 4
Prepare the Buns
While the ribs are smoking, lightly toast the burger buns on a grill or in the oven until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the ribs are done, slice them into portions and place them on the toasted buns. Top with sliced pickles and onions.
For the God Sauce
- 6
Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- 7
Season to Taste
Mix well until smooth. Add salt and black pepper to taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- 8
Serve
Serve the God Sauce on the side or drizzle it on top of the assembled McRib sandwiches.
