Seasonings and Sauces

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meats

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Season the beef brisket with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the seasoning mixture thoroughly over the brisket.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Clean the whole chickens and pat them dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil over the chicken and season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Ribs

Trim any excess fat from the pork ribs. Apply a generous amount of BBQ sauce and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Beef Brisket

Place the seasoned brisket in a roasting pan and cover it with foil. Bake for 4-5 hours or until tender. Remove foil in the last hour to allow the top to caramelize.

  2. 5

    Cook the Whole Roasted Chickens

Place the seasoned chickens on a roasting rack in a baking dish. Roast in the oven for 1.5-2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 6

    Cook the Pork Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for 3 hours, basting with additional BBQ sauce every hour.

Preparing Sides

  1. 7

    Make Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop potatoes. Boil in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, cream, salt, and pepper to taste.

  2. 8

    Prepare Garlic Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans. Sauté in olive oil with minced garlic until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 9

    Bake the Cornbread

Prepare cornbread mix according to package instructions and bake until golden brown. Cut into pieces.

  4. 10

    Make Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots. Mix with a dressing made from mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Serving

  1. 11

    Plate the Feast

Once everything is cooked, carve the meats and arrange them on a large serving platter. Serve the sides in separate bowls and enjoy the feast with friends and family.
