Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Season the brisket with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent.

  2. 2

    Sear the Brisket

Add the brisket to the skillet and sear on all sides until browned. This should take about 4-5 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Cook the Brisket

Transfer the seared brisket to a roasting pan. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 4 hours or until the meat is tender.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Shred the Brisket

Once the brisket is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes. Shred the brisket using two forks.

  2. 5

    Layer the Casserole

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded brisket with Bamma BBQ sauce and God sauce. In a casserole dish, layer half of the brisket mixture, then sprinkle half of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese on top. Repeat the layers with the remaining brisket mixture and cheese.

  3. 6

    Add Breadcrumbs

Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top layer of cheese.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Casserole

Return the casserole to the oven and bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

  2. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm. Enjoy your Big Belt Buckle!
