Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallots, and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper, then remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Make the White Wine Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Pour in the white wine and bring it to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes until the wine reduces by half. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat them in the sauce.
Prepare the Au Gratin Sauce
In a bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese with bread crumbs. Mix well. Transfer the shrimp and sauce mixture to a greased baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the cheese and bread crumb mixture over the top.
Bake the Dish
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the dish for about 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your Seafood Lorenzo!
