Oyster Brochette Ingredients
Method
Directions
Prepare the Oysters
Shuck the oysters and carefully remove them from their shells. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
Wrap with Bacon
Wrap each oyster with half a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
Bread the Oysters
Dip each bacon-wrapped oyster in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
Fry the Oysters
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded oysters and fry them for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Sauce
In a bowl, combine the grated green apple, sour cream, horseradish, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Serve
Serve the fried bacon-wrapped oysters hot with a side of the green apple-sour cream horseradish sauce.
