Crab Cakes
Method
Preparation of Crab Cakes
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onions, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently fold the mixture to combine without breaking up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form the Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place the formed cakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them set.
- 3
Cook the Crab Cakes
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes (in batches if necessary) and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
