Bread Pudding
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the day-old bread into small pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture over the bread pieces, ensuring all bread is soaked. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the liquid.
- 4
Bake the Pudding
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 5
Serve Warm
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm drizzled with caramel sauce for a delightful finish.
