Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coating

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix with milk. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

  2. 2

    Bread the Beef

Dip each cube of beef into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Carefully add the breaded beef cubes to the skillet in batches, frying until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add 1/4 cup of the leftover oil. Stir in 1/4 cup of flour, whisking to combine until golden brown. Gradually add 2 cups of milk, whisking continuously until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Place the fried steak on a plate and generously top with the country gravy. Enjoy!
