Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jasmine Rice

Rinse 2 cups of jasmine rice under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice with 4 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Miso-Citrus Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, citrus juice, soy sauce, and honey until smooth. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat the broiler in your oven. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Season with salt and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Broil the Salmon

Brush the salmon fillets with the miso-citrus sauce. Broil the salmon for about 8-10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 5

Make the Black Pepper Garlic Butter

In a small skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and black pepper, cooking until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes). Remove from heat.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate a serving of jasmine rice, top with the broiled salmon, and drizzle with black pepper garlic butter. Serve with your choice of two sides.
