Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the sirloin steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This will ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, then season generously with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a cast-iron skillet or a heavy frying pan over medium-high heat until it's very hot.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steak

Place the steak in the hot pan and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Butter

During the last minute of cooking, add butter to the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steak to enhance flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your choice of sides.
