Chicken Tenders

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Pat the chicken strips dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and well combined. The batter should be thick enough to coat the chicken.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Batter the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the battered chicken strips into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chicken and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the chicken tenders hot with fries and your choice of dipping sauce.
