Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, milk, salt, and nutmeg. Mix until you have a smooth batter. The consistency should be somewhat thick but pourable.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.

Cook the Spaetzle
Using a spaetzle maker or a colander, press the batter through into the boiling water. Cook until they rise to the top, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.

Sauté the Spaetzle
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the cooked spaetzle and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
