Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Layer the bottom half of each roll with sliced roast beef and top with Swiss cheese.

  3. 3

    Toast the Sandwiches

Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are slightly crispy.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the oven and serve hot with the warm au jus on the side for dipping.
