Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, and mustard. Mix thoroughly until well combined. Set aside.
- 2
Make the Dough
In a small bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water and sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.
- 3
Form the Fleischkeukle
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle about 0.5 cm thick. Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center, fold the dough over, and seal the edges by pressing tightly.
- 4
Fry the Fleischkeukle
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Carefully add the filled dough pieces to the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve
Serve hot and enjoy your homemade Fleischkeukle!
