Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Onions
Peel and slice the onions into thin rings. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become golden brown and caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 2
Season the Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef sirloin, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- 3
Shape the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick.
- 4
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the onions, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- 5
Combine and Serve
Once the patties are cooked, place them on a plate and top with the sautéed onions. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
