Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.

Topping Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  2. 4

    Fry the Shallots

Thinly slice the shallots. In a bowl, mix flour, milk, and egg to create a batter. Dip shallots in the batter and fry in hot vegetable oil until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Brie

Soften the Brie cheese at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, then whip until creamy.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On each burger bun, spread a layer of whipped Brie cheese, add the cooked burger patty, top with crispy bacon, drizzle with hot honey, and finish with crispy fried shallots. Serve immediately.
