Burger Ingredients

Honey Sriracha Caramelized Onions

Seasoning

Method

Preparation of Caramelized Onions

  1. 1

    Cook the Onions

Slice the onion thinly. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.

  2. 2

    Add Honey and Sriracha

Once the onions are translucent, add honey and sriracha sauce. Stir well and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the onions are caramelized.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a bowl, season ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two equal patties.

  2. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  3. 5

    Grill the Patties

In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 6

    Add Blue Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slab of blue cheese on each patty to melt slightly.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Build the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly. Place the cooked beef patty with melted blue cheese on the bottom half of the bun. Top with honey sriracha caramelized onions and crispy bacon. Add the top bun.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the burger immediately with your choice of side.
