Method

Mac n' Cheese Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Macaroni

Boil water in a pot, add macaroni pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Add shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted and smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine

Mix the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce until well combined.

Grilled Cheese Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of the potato roll. Place one slice of cheddar cheese and one slice of American cheese inside the roll.

  2. 5

    Add Mac n' Cheese

Spoon a generous amount of the house-made mac n' cheese onto the cheese in the roll.

  3. 6

    Top with Chips

Crumble BBQ potato chips on top of the mac n' cheese.

  4. 7

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  5. 8

    Serve

Remove from skillet, cut in half if desired, and serve warm.
