Preparation Steps
1. Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
2. Fry the Egg
In the same skillet, add a little butter or oil if needed. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook until the white is set and the yolk is cooked to your liking. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Cook the Burger Patty
Season the beef patty with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, cook the patty over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Place the American cheese on top of the patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.
4. Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger bun if desired. Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the bun, top with crispy bacon, and then the fried egg. Finish with the top half of the bun.
5. Serve
Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
