Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

While the bacon is cooking, form the ground beef into two equally sized patties. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Muenster cheese on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

Spread butter on the insides of the flip flop buns and toast them in the skillet until golden brown.

BBQ Bacon Mayo Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the BBQ Bacon Mayo

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, and chopped cooked bacon. Mix until well combined.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Spread a generous amount of BBQ bacon mayo on the bottom bun, place the cheese-topped patty on top, add crispy bacon, and cover with the top bun.
