Cooking Directions
Prepare the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
Form the Patties
In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form into two equal-sized patties.
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover the skillet until melted.
Assemble the Burger
Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the lettuce and tomato on top, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, and top with crispy bacon. Finish with the top half of the bun.
Serve
Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
