Burger Ingredients

Sautéed Shrooms

Caramelized Guinness Onions

Method

Prepare the Bacon

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Caramelize the Onions

  1. 2

    Sauté Onions

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and salt, cooking until softened. Stir in the brown sugar and pour in Guinness beer. Cook until the mixture is thick and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

Sautéed Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Prepare Mushrooms

In another skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté until mushrooms are golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.

Cook the Burgers

  1. 4

    Grill the Patties

Form the ground beef into four patties. Season with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adding a slice of Swiss cheese on top during the last minute of cooking.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 5

    Build the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half of each bun, place the burger patty with melted cheese, followed by sautéed mushrooms, caramelized Guinness onions, and crispy bacon. Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot.
