1. Prepare the Plantains

Peel the ripe plantains by cutting off the ends and making a slit down the length of the skin. Gently remove the skin to reveal the plantain.

2. Slice the Plantains

Cut the peeled plantains into diagonal slices about 1/2 inch thick.

3. Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

4. Fry the Plantains
