Ice Cream Layers

Method

Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Ice Cream

Let the chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry ice cream soften at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes until it's easy to scoop.

2

Layer the Ice Cream

In a loaf pan, layer the softened chocolate ice cream first, spreading it evenly across the bottom. Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up.

3

Add Pistachio Layer

Once the chocolate layer is firm, add the pistachio ice cream on top, spreading it evenly. Return to the freezer for another 30 minutes.

4

Top with Strawberry Layer

After the pistachio layer is set, add the strawberry ice cream as the final layer. Spread evenly and smooth the top. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.

5

Serve

To serve, you can slice the spumoni and garnish with maraschino cherries and chopped nuts if desired.
