Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Start by seasoning the pork loin chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Breading Station Setup
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes. Place flour in the first dish, beaten eggs in the second, and panko breadcrumbs in the third.
- 3
Bread the Pork
Dredge each pork chop in the flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off, and then coat with the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 5
Fry the Ton Katsu
Carefully place the breaded pork cutlets into the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, transfer the ton katsu to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Slice and serve with tonkatsu sauce.
