Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Filet Mignon
Crush the mixed peppercorns and press them into the sides of the filet mignon. Season with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Cook the Filet Mignon
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the filet mignon and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust time to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.
- 3
Prepare the Lobster Tail
While the steak is resting, prepare the lobster tail. Cut the top shell of the lobster tail lengthwise and gently lift the meat out, keeping it attached at the base.
- 4
Cook the Lobster Tail
In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter and minced ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then add the lobster tail, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until the meat is opaque. Baste with the butter mixture and remove from heat.
