Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Yakinku Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sirloin Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Season the sirloin steak with salt and pepper. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 3

    Glaze the Steak

During the last minute of cooking, brush the yakinku sauce over the steak. Let it cook for an extra minute to caramelize slightly.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the steak and drizzle with additional yakinku sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
