Sukiyaki and Salmon Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and prepare them as specified. Slice the beef, cube the tofu, slice the mushrooms, and chop the cabbage and green onions.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or a sukiyaki pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.

  3. 3

    Cook the Beef

Add the sliced beef to the pan. Stir-fry until the beef is browned, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Vegetables and Tofu

Add the shiitake mushrooms, tofu, napa cabbage, and green onions to the pan. Stir gently to combine.

  5. 5

    Add Sauces and Stock

Pour in the sukiyaki sauce, dashi stock (or water), sugar, mirin, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer.

  6. 6

    Add Salmon

Gently place the salmon fillet on top of the simmering mixture. Cover the pan and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through.

  7. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, serve the sukiyaki hot straight from the pan with steamed rice on the side.
