Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once cooked, transfer to a bowl and mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let it cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Make Spicy Crab Filling

In a bowl, mix crab meat, mayonnaise, and sriracha sauce until well combined. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Roll

Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down. Wet your hands to prevent sticking, then spread a thin layer of sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top. Place tempura salmon in the center and add a layer of the spicy crab mixture.

  4. 4

    Roll the Sushi

Using the bamboo mat, carefully roll the sushi away from you, pressing gently but firmly to create a tight roll. Seal the edge with a little water.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Crunch Topping

In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with a little soy sauce and green onions. Toast in a pan over medium heat until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Slice and Serve

Slice the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces. Top with the toasted panko mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with soy sauce on the side.
