Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, mirin, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours for enhanced flavor.

  3. 3

    Cook the Salmon

Preheat the grill or a pan over medium-high heat. Remove salmon from the marinade (reserve marinade) and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Glaze

While the salmon is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  5. 5

    Serve

Drizzle the thickened glaze over the cooked salmon. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
